A milky ocean
Cloud after cloud after cloud
A thick blanket over the hills
That separates the white ocean
From the sky
An airplane flies towards the west
Another towards the east
A tiny bird
Looking up to see the bird flying westward.
One cloud pushes another
Rips it apart
Into a billion droplets
The ocean of white rises, rises
Rises and devours me.
Blinded, I am a fly trapped in flight
Forty thousand feet above the waves
Above cities
With landscapes and humans
Woven into whiteness
All that
Resides in me.
